Pediatric Mental Health Treatment in San Antonio
About Pinecone Mental Health Pediatrics
Contact Pinecone Mental Health Pediatrics for pediatric mental health treatment in San Antonio, TX. I specialize in diagnosing and managing pediatric mental health conditions including ADHD, depression and anxiety. I serve families across the greater San Antonio area, including Uvalde, Devine, Hondo, Dilley, Cotulla, Lytle, Pearsall, and Laredo.
I take a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to care, focusing not only on visible symptoms but also on identifying underlying issues that may otherwise go unnoticed. During visits, I encourage children and teens to openly share their experiences with symptoms, medications, and how they are feeling overall. This collaborative approach helps them feel heard and involved in their care, reduces frustration, and supports the development of confidence and self-advocacy as they grow.
Input from children, along with important insights from parents and teachers, plays a vital role in creating a well-rounded, individualized treatment plan. As a pediatrician, I also make it a priority to connect with kids in an age-appropriate and engaging way, ensuring each visit is supportive, positive, and meaningful.

Services and Resources
Schedule an Appt
If you are located in San Antonio, TX, or a nearby community and have concerns about your child’s mental health,
please call or email to schedule a telehealth appointment. After scheduling, you will receive a secure link from IntakeQ to complete and submit online forms, upload any required documents, and provide necessary information. Once your materials are received, our team will contact you within 1–2 business days to schedule two 1-hour intake appointments: the first with parents or guardians only, and the second including the child or teen. In certain cases, such as with very young children or specific circumstances, both sessions may be combined into one appointment.
Telehealth
All appointments are conducted via
telehealth. Telehealth, also known as telemedicine, offers a convenient virtual visit that allows children and teens to receive mental health evaluations and medication management without the need to travel to the office. While this approach improves access to care, it does have some limitations, including the inability to perform a physical examination remotely. In certain situations, additional steps may be needed to obtain important health measurements such as height, weight, or blood pressure, and these will be discussed during your visit. Mental Health Treatment
Our
mental health resources page explains how Pinecone Mental Health Pediatrics evaluates and treats common pediatric mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, autism, and related behavioral concerns. We are dedicated to an individualized approach to diagnosis and medication management, while also educating families about how these conditions are influenced by genetics, environment, and life experiences. We offer detailed explanations of treatment options, including how medications work, why dosing may need adjustment, and the importance of combining medication with therapy for the best outcomes.
